The Future is Digital
5.30 - 8.30PM - Thurs 12th October @ QUAD DERBY
Digital trends for 2018
Tim Elliott is talking about the two big changes in the marketing landscape since he started working, the arrival of websites then the emergence of social media but how neither of those are as big as the change we are in now. With GDPR, MarTech, AI and Dark Social here right now, just having a marketing strategy is not enough.
We also have Chris Dobson from Aquila Insights talking about how Big data can be pretty scary – What is it? Should you do it? Why and how should you progress? GDPR – I’ve heard about it. Does it impact me? Why should I care?
With almost 20 years of experience behind him, working with data from finance, mobile phones, loyalty schemes and more…..Chris isn’t a fan of the phrase big data. He advocates rather than thinking ‘big’ think ‘right’. What is the right data to focus your efforts, create a better customer experience and ultimately drive an increased commercial return.
The session will cover off the key steps to the successful usage of data, how it could impact your business, and how to turn GDPR into a catalyst for change, rather than a business threat.
There will be plenty of networking time and refreshments before the session and a Q & A after.
