Digital Essentials - Photoshop - Mark Williams

Mainframe invites you to a four part workshop series covering the essentials of using photoshop.

Part 1 - Introduction & Creating Selections : Wednesday 19th February 2020

This session covers:

  • The Photoshop Interface
  • Using panels
  • Workspaces
  • Navigating around the image
  • Creating Selections
  • Introduction to Layers

Part 2 - Image Restoration : Wednesday 26th February 2020

This session covers:

  • The Clone Stamp tool
  • The Spot Healing Brush tool
  • Content-Aware fills
  • The Patch tool

Part 3 - Masking : Friday 6th March 2020

This session covers:

  • Creating Quick masks
  • Masking layers
  • Refining masks

Part 4 - Layouts : Friday 13th March 2020

This session covers:

  • Using Type
  • Adjustment layers
  • Adding shapes and graphics
  • Clipping layers

WHO IS MARK WILLIAMS? 

Mark is qualified with a Degree in Graphic Design from the University of Derby. With over 20 years experience working with and teaching Adobe products Mark has developed and delivered training courses to large and small businesses all over the UK.

WHO IS IT FOR?

This 4 part Photoshop evening course introduces you to the image editing powers of Photoshop. Upon completing the training course you will be able to use Photoshop to colour correct your images, remove backgrounds and add text/colour to create design layouts.

WHEN IS IT?

Four sessions :

  • Wednesday 19th February 2020
  • Wednesday 26th February 2020
  • Friday 6th March 2020
  • Friday 13th March 2020

Registration will be at 6.00pm with the workshop finishing at 9.00pm.

You must book all sessions to qualify to attend. 

HOW DO I BOOK TICKETS?

This event is free, but space is limited. You must be enrolled with The Big House. Space is limited, so make sure to book your ticket today using the form on this page to guarantee your place. 

PLEASE NOTE: The Big House and Mainframe events are free to you, because they are funded – however there is a cost attached to them for us and we are a not-for-profit organisation. So, if you have registered to come, your place will have been paid for. Our events are very popular and we often have a waiting list. With this in mind, if for any reason you are unable to attend it is very important that you cancel your place by emailing mainframe@derbyquad.co.uk as soon as possible, to enable someone else to take your place.
